Editorial policy

How educational content is researched, written, medically reviewed, updated, and corrected.

Current publishing status

GoutCura is currently an educational website. Until a named physician completes and signs medical review, articles are labeled as educational preview content and are not represented as physician-reviewed.

Source standard

Clinical statements prioritize current professional guidelines, government health agencies, regulatory documents, and peer-reviewed evidence. Every medical guide includes direct source links and an update date.

  • American College of Rheumatology and NICE guidelines
  • NIH, FDA, HHS, CDC, and other authoritative government resources
  • Primary research when it adds information not answered by a guideline

Medical review

Before clinical enrollment opens, material that describes diagnosis, medicines, monitoring, or treatment will name its reviewing physician, credentials, review date, and relevant conflicts. A reviewer label will never be added before the review is completed.

AI assistance

AI may help organize research, draft language, create illustrative images, or support video production. It does not approve medical content, invent sources, create testimonials, or replace the named human reviewer. No patient health information is entered into general-purpose creative AI tools.

Images, stories, and outcomes

Illustrative generated images are labeled. They are not real patients, physicians, products, or before-and-after results. Future patient stories will require documented consent and may not imply a result that evidence cannot support.

Corrections and updates

Material is reviewed when important guidance, safety information, or device status changes. Substantive corrections should preserve a dated change note. Until a dedicated corrections inbox is published, readers should not submit personal medical information through this website.
